SoundCloud is one of the largest music and audio platforms on the web, reaching more than 75 million users in the United States and 175 million users worldwide each month. In other words, it’s a must for any indie artist looking to maximize their exposure. Of course, with twelve hours of music uploaded to SoundCloud every minute, it can be hard to ensure you’re being heard. But thanks to a recent update, you’ll be able to share your tracks with a whole new audience.
A recent update to the SoundCloud app allows users to share tracks directly to Instagram Stories — and it’s incredibly simple. Just find your way on the SoundCloud app to the track you want to promote, click “share,” and select Instagram Stories.
The generated Instagram Story will feature the album artwork as the background and include a movable SoundCloud-branded sticker with the song info. Your Instagram fans can then click on the sticker and instantly listen to your track on SoundCloud.
The new feature rolled out at the end of October and is available via the latest versions of the SoundCloud and Instagram apps on both Android and iOS.
